Yep. I always felt somewhat inadequate after reading Henry James, because so many people raved about his books, but they bored me silly.

I don't blame you, Paul. He's an acquired taste. Portrait of a Lady is his best, I think. If you feel like taking another crack it, that's really the best one to go with.
