Forbidden Fruit

who chose the apple?
mango seems much more likely
or pomegranate

I thought pomegranate was fruit from the tree of life.

Because the apple was a sacred symbol of life and a sign of divinity to Pagans, so therefore....the apple symbolizes Paganism and was to be forbidden.

I'm sure pomegranates were the next fruit of choice :P

BC - I forget. I think it just says "fruit" like with the tree of knowledge. Hmm, another thing to look up.

Jupiter - And I suppose they'd never heard of mangoes... Actually, I knew the apple had to do with paganism. I was more wondering who it was that decided. I mean, that must have been some creative meeting - "Top 10 Ways in which we are Going to Denounce Paganism."
